
The article describes the rise and fall of the Frankish state. The Frankish state was a state in Western Europe in the first Middle Ages (end of the 5th century - 843). At the beginning of the 5th century, the Gaul region of the Western Roman Empire was created during the administration of the Franks under the leadership of Clovis I. Charlemagne's military campaigns included the whole of Western Europe and an element of Central Europe.
