SaMPH-yPlus: A Python-Based Tool for Near-Wall Mesh Parameter Estimation in CFD Simulations

Abstract

SaMPH-yPlus, an open-source, Python-based desktop application for estimating near-wall mesh parameters in CFD preprocessing workflows. With the given flow conditions, the software computes key near-wall grid parameters, i.e., the Reynolds number, first-grid spacing, boundary layer thickness, and the required number of prism layers, using established empirical correlations for skin friction coefficient and boundary layer thickness.
