The Pregeometric Symphony: Universe Origin, Cascade of Worlds, and Emergent Anthropic Principle

Abstract

I present a speculative but internally consistent cosmological framework based on a pregeometric substrate prior to space-time. Universe nucleation follows a specific rate Γ ~ exp(−S_E) analogous to Coleman-De Luccia tunneling extended to the pregeometric regime. The entropy accumulation problem in cyclic cosmologies is resolved through conformal rescaling, where the Weyl curvature loses physical support in the absence of massive matter, adopting and refining Penrose's argument in his Conformal Cyclic Cosmology (CCC). Each universe receives random parameters from a finite space (~10⁵⁰⁰), making the anthropic principle emergent as a consequence of statistical exhaustiveness. The central falsifiable prediction is an evolving dark energy equation of state w(z) (dynamic quintessence), distinguishable from constant w = −1. Recent DESI data (2024) show preliminary indications of non-constant w, consistent with this proposal.
