
Background:The Emergo Train System® (ETS) is a simulation-based educational tool used globally for training in disaster medicine and emergency management. It supports experiential learning and organizational preparedness through structured simulation exercises. Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate how senior instructors worldwide use ETS and how they perceive its utility, including their needs for further training and development. Results:A survey of 228 senior instructors from 24 countries showed that ETS is widely used, with approximately 11,200 individuals trained during a single year. Instructors reported high levels of satisfaction, indicating that ETS is a useful and flexible training tool that supports pedagogical approaches, enhances understanding, and aids visualization of scenarios. Despite positive evaluations, instructors expressed a need for additional education in methodology, pedagogy, exercise planning, and evaluation. They also highlighted the importance of updated materials, access to new modules, and opportunities for knowledge exchange. Web-based resources were frequently requested. Conclusion:ETS is a well-established and highly valued tool for disaster training worldwide. To enhance its effectiveness, further development of instructor training, updated materials, and integration of digital learning resources are recommended.
