Abstract This book offers a powerful and practical response to one of today’s urgent educational and public-health challenges: children are moving (too) less, while the need for active, healthy lifestyles has never been greater. Developed with the support of UNESCO, the KaziKidz Physical Education Book for Grades 4–7 equips teachers with an accessible, research-based toolkit designed to bring quality Physical Education to every classroom, including those with limited space, time, or resources. At its heart, the book recognises movement as far more than physical exercise. It presents Physical Education as a pathway to holistic development, nurturing not only motor skills and fitness, but also confidence, social connection, emotional resilience, and lifelong wellbeing. Through clear guidance and ready-to-use lesson plans, the resource helps teachers create inclusive, engaging learning environments where every child can participate meaningfully and successfully. The strength of KaziKidz lies in its simplicity and adaptability. Structured yet flexible lessons combine games, movement-to-music activities, and health education, allowing educators to integrate physical activity seamlessly into the school day. Even in under-resourced settings, teachers can deliver high-quality, enjoyable learning experiencesusing minimal equipment and creative approaches.By fostering fundamental movement skills, promoting healthy habits, and building positive attitudes toward activity, this book contributes to the development of physical literacy and the vision articulated in the Global Physical Literacy Action Framework (GlobPL); empowering children not only to move, but to value movement as a developmental continuum throughout their lives. Ultimately, it is both a practical companion for teaching and an inspiring vision for healthier, more active, and more equitable school communities worldwide, in line with UNESCO’s quality standards for Physical Education (QPE).
