Abstract

This repository contains code to simulate the impact of supraglacial lakes on the Greenland Ice Sheet over multi-century timescales. The script `SUPRAGLACIAL_LAKES.py` implements the experiments described in the paper *"Contributions of supraglacial lakes to the Greenland Ice Sheet Melting"* by A. Cotronei, U. Feudel and A. Humbert. It runs 200 years of simulations by default, producing plots and data for analysis of ice sheet melting dynamics. The code is optimized for performance using Numba and leverages Python packages such as NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib.
