Supplementary material to the paper "kikuchipy: an open-source toolbox for analysis of EBSD patterns"

Abstract

This is part of the supplementary material needed to reproduce the results in the paper kikuchipy: an open-source toolbox for analysis of EBSD patterns by H. W. Ånes, P. Crout, L. Lervik, O. Natlandsmyr, T. Bergh, J. Hjelen, A. T. J. van Helvoort, and K. Marthinsen. Three application examples are presented in the paper. This Zenodo upload holds the EBSD patterns for two of the examples. The remaining EBSD patterns, all EBSD master patterns used, and images can be obtained from other Zenodo uploads (this is done to (1) avoid duplication and (2) ease re-use of datasets). All EBSD patterns and master patterns can be read and visualized using the kikuchipy Python package (https://kikuchipy.org). Analysis was done with Jupyter notebooks and Matlab scripts. These are available at: https://github.com/hakonanes/kikuchipy-paper-examples/. Data for example 1: Orientation relationships in a super duplex stainless steel (SDSS) Raw EBSD patterns acquired with a NORDIF detector: sdss_nordif/Pattern.dat Master patterns of candidate phases generated with EMsoft: Ferrite, α: https://zenodo.org/records/7628394 Austenite, γ: https://zenodo.org/records/7628387 Sigma (Fe-Cr-Mo), σ: https://zenodo.org/records/20376903 Chi (Fe35Cr12Mo10), χ: https://zenodo.org/records/7628417 Cr2N: https://zenodo.org/records/20376534 R (Fe-Cr-Mo): https://zenodo.org/records/20376828 Pi (Fe-Mo), π: https://zenodo.org/records/20376759 Data for example 2: Phase differentiation in an Al–10%Si alloy Raw EBSD patterns acquired with an Oxford Instruments Symmetry S2 detector: al10si_oxford/260d272e-5d2a-4adc-b195-f3230f03ee22.ebsp Master patterns of candidate phases generated with EMsoft: Al: https://zenodo.org/records/7628365 Si: https://zenodo.org/records/7498729 Data for example 3: Phase differentiation of constituent particles in an Al–Mn alloy Raw EBSD patterns acquired with a NORDIF detector and backscatter electron images: https://zenodo.org/records/6470217 Master patterns of candidate phases generated with EMsoft: Al: https://zenodo.org/records/7628365 Al6Mn: https://zenodo.org/records/20376068 α-AlMnSi: https://zenodo.org/records/20376379
