Against the backdrop of the increasing application of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, this study aims to assess the impact of AI on the self-learning behavior of students in Vietnam. Data was collected from students through questionnaires and analyzed using quantitative statistical methods. The results show that the use of AI has a significant impact on self-learning behavior. AI helps students access information quickly, improve learning efficiency, and promote personalization of the learning process. However, over-reliance on AI may diminish autonomy and independent thinking ability. Furthermore, learning motivation plays a mediating role in this relationship. The study provides practical implications for the effective integration of AI in higher education.
