PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL BANKING SERVICES IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This article provides a scholarly analysis of the development trends of digital banking services in Uzbekistan, their economic significance, and their impact on the efficiency of the banking system. It demonstrates that as a result of digitalization processes within the country's banking system in recent years, services such as mobile banking, internet banking, QR payment systems, electronic wallets, and remote banking are becoming widely popular. It also highlights that the introduction of digital technologies into the banking system is expanding the opportunities to provide the public with convenient, fast, and secure financial services. The article further analyzes the role of fintech in the activities of commercial banks, as well as the prospects for using artificial intelligence, biometric identification, and blockchain technologies. Moreover, it is scientifically substantiated that the increase in the volume of non-cash payments, along with the growing number of bank card and mobile application users in Uzbekistan, confirms the rising demand for digital banking services.
