
This study presents a critical analysis of the transversal skills gap among young researchers (R1 and R2) within European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the evolving demands of the labour market. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, including online surveys, in-depth interviews, and advanced text mining of job postings, the research assesses the proficiency of researchers in key competencies and compares these to employer expectations
