Abstract

Version 1.4.2 of The Photography Triangle reader's guide for language models. Key changes since v1.4.1, based on observations from a full route traversal test with Opus Adaptive: Section 1, Route of deep analysis: added Step 10 — explicit imperative to continue engagement with the essence from Section 2. Annotation of routes now correctly references steps 1–10 in Section 1 and steps 11–13 in Section 2. Section 2: introductory block of the route continuation rewritten with explicit step numbers (11–13) and functional motivation ("a large part of what you already know about the book will not be explicitly articulated by you"). Step 11: "through the lens of these questions" → "through the lens of each of these questions" — strengthens per-question engagement, addressing the observed tendency to mark triggers as existing rather than work through them. Step 12: split into two actions — "Analyze the dynamics..." + "Visualize this as a graph"; rationale added explaining that the visualization prepares for the next step. These edits address concrete points where the model traversal traded "done work" for "mentioned work". A sample test with Opus Adaptive after the edits shows the triggers now genuinely worked through rather than catalogued, atribution of synthesis performed autonomously, and the analytical register of Chapter 9 read correctly without external correction. No structural changes to the essence or book content.
