Del artista al sistema: Bad Bunny y la circulación global del español en la música digital

Abstract

Este informe analiza la trayectoria de Bad Bunny entre 2016 y 2026 como caso de estudio sobre la circulación global del español en el sistema musical digital contemporáneo. A partir de una metodología mixta, que combina análisis cuantitativo de datos procedentes de plataformas de streaming y entrevistas a expertos del sector musical, la industria digital y el ámbito académico, el estudio examina cómo las plataformas, los algoritmos, las playlists, los hábitos de consumo y los eventos de alta visibilidad contribuyen a configurar nuevas formas de presencia internacional del español en la música. El informe sostiene que Bad Bunny no debe interpretarse únicamente como un artista de éxito global, sino como una infraestructura cultural que articula y amplifica el reconocimiento del español en el ecosistema musical contemporáneo. El análisis distingue entre consumo real e interés simbólico, entre internacionalización del catálogo y universalización de la audiencia, y entre éxito individual y dinámica sistémica de las plataformas digitales.
