EDUCAÇÃO INCLUSIVA NA EJA: DESAFIOS NA EFETIVAÇÃO DO DIREITO À APRENDIZAGEM

Abstract

Adult and Youth Education (EJA) is an educational modality designed to guarantee the right to schooling for individuals who, due to various social, economic, and cultural factors, did not have access to or remain in school at the regular age. Simultaneously, the advancement of public policies focused on inclusive education has broadened the presence of students with disabilities and other specific educational needs at different levels and modalities of education, including EJA. In this context, it becomes necessary to discuss the challenges and possibilities of implementing inclusive pedagogical practices in this educational modality. This study aims to analyze the theoretical foundations of inclusive education and discuss the main challenges for the effective realization of the right to learning in Adult and Youth Education. This is a qualitative research study, developed through a literature review, based on authors such as Paulo Freire, Maria Teresa Mantoan, Miguel Arroyo, Lev Vygotsky, and Stainback and Stainback. The results show that building an inclusive education in adult education requires transformations in pedagogical practices, teacher training, and curriculum organization, aiming to guarantee the participation and learning of all students. It is concluded that dialogical, flexible, and contextualized pedagogical practices contribute to strengthening more democratic and inclusive educational processes.
