Abstract

Con el objetivo de analizar la posible relación entre la presencia de cuadros depresivos y el apoyo social en adultos mayores con diabetes mellitus en La Paz, B.C.S., se llevó a cabo un análisis de chi-cuadrada utilizando datos del Proyecto Encuesta Salud, Bienestar y Envejecimiento (SABE) de Baja California Sur. El estudio incluyó un total de 363 registros de personas de 60 años o más diagnosticadas con diabetes mellitus. Los resultados no mostraron evidencia suficiente para establecer una relación significativa entre la presencia de apoyo social y la aparición de cuadros depresivos en este grupo de población.
