Type locality: Venezuela Amazonas, Río Orinoco, 147 km east-south-east of San Fernando de Atabapo, 3°45’23”N, 66°36’12”W. Holotype: AUM 43275; 155 mm TL. Distribution: Upper Orinoco River basin, Venezuela (de Santana, Vari, 2013).
