GRASS v2.1.0 This release accompanies Gonzalez et al. (in revision) and adds support for synthesizing solar spectra as observed from the ground during a solar eclipse, via the new GRASS.Eclipse submodule. Highlights Eclipse spectral synthesis. GRASS.Eclipse.synthesize_spectra_eclipse generates a time series of disk-integrated spectra for a given observer location and set of UTC timestamps. Sun–Moon–observer geometry is computed per epoch from SPICE ephemerides. Install / build changes Pkg.build("GRASS") now also downloads the required SPICE kernels (planetary/lunar ephemerides and orientation constants) in addition to the existing input data and limb-darkening tables. These are furnished into the SPICE pool at package load time. Compatibility Requires Julia 1.12. Routine dependency bumps across the package. This is a backward-compatible (additive) release — no breaking changes to the existing v2.0 API. Full changelog: https://github.com/palumbom/GRASS/compare/v2.0.0...v2.1.0
