
The workshop introduces the fundamentals of text markup with TEI, an XML-based markup language that has meanwhile established itself as a de facto standard specifically for the needs of the humanities. Participants will learn the practice of text markup with TEI through short exercises and gain an initial overview of the significance and the various modules of this language.
