Ichki yonuv dvigateli yoqilg‘ining kimyoviy energiyasini dvigatel ichida sodir bo‘ladigan yonish jarayoni orqali issiqlik energiyasiga, keyinchalik esa mexanik ishga aylantiruvchi murakkab issiqlik mashinasi sifatida talqin qilinadi.
