Explorando nuevas vulnerabilidades y riesgos socionaturales

Abstract

Las exposiciones abordaron diversos enfoques sobre la gestión integral del riesgo y la resiliencia ante desastres en México, destacando la importancia de fortalecer las acciones de prevención, preparación y respuesta adaptativa, especialmente tras el impacto del huracán Otis. Se subrayó la necesidad de contar con atlas de riesgos actualizados y multidimensionales como herramientas fundamentales para la toma de decisiones informadas, así como la relevancia de la colaboración interinstitucional para integrar tecnologías avanzadas y múltiples capas de información. Asimismo, se analizó la gestión del riesgo desde perspectivas legales, urbanas y comunitarias, enfatizando la prioridad de la prevención sobre la reacción y la urgencia de mejorar las políticas públicas ante el aumento de desastres hidrometeorológicos y la vulnerabilidad socioambiental. También se destacó el papel de programas como Tsunami Ready, la participación comunitaria, la interdisciplinariedad y la coproducción entre academia, gobierno y sociedad para construir entornos más seguros y resilientes, concluyendo con un llamado a promover una cultura de prevención y estrategias más eficaces de gestión del riesgo.
