Abstract

Diamond Open Access (DOA) wird zunehmend als zukunftsfähige Alternative zu tradierten, kommerziellen Verlagsstrukturen im wissenschaftlichen Publikationswesen diskutiert und von zentralen wissenschaftspolitischen Akteuren empfohlen. Die vorliegende Publikation präsentiert die Ergebnisse eines systematischen Literatur-Reviews zu DOA, das vom HIS-Institut für Hochschulentwicklung e. V. im Auftrag des Vorprojekts NiedersachsenPUBLISHING durchge-führt wurde. Auf Basis von 192 analysierten Dokumenten aus dem nationalen und internationalen Diskurs werden zentrale Themenfelder systematisch kategorisiert und aufbereitet: Begriffsverständnis und Definiti-onsmerkmale, Stand der Open-Access-Transformation, nationale und internationale Empfehlungen, rechtliche Aspekte, Kosten- und Finanzierungsmodelle, Qualitätssicherung, Anforderungen an das Angebots- und Servicespektrum von DOA-Infrastrukturen sowie Bezüge zu Künstlicher Intelligenz im Publikationsprozess.
