Handout on Predatory Publishing [English Version]

Abstract

Predatory Open Access Journals promise to publish scientific articles for a fee. Unlike serious Open Access publishers, such journals neglect to carry out a quality assurance process (incl. peer review). This handout points out methods, distribution and risks of predatory publishing and contains a checklist helping to identify nonserious publishing offers.
