Daily Global Sea Surface Ageostrophic Current Dataset from 1993–2023 via Physics-Informed Deep Learning

Abstract

Dataset Overview: Global Sea Surface Ageostrophic Current Reconstruction (1993–2023) This dataset provides a daily, high-resolution reconstruction of global sea surface circulation spanning a 31-year period from 1993 to 2023. The reconstruction accurately models ocean dynamics by explicitly accounting for key physical drivers, including wind stress, non-linear effects, and the Coriolis force. Key Specifications Spatial Resolution: 0.25° Temporal Resolution: Daily Time Coverage: January 1, 1993 – December 31, 2023 File Format: NetCDF (.nc) Total Data Size: > 500 GB Data Access and Download Note that we have only uploaded one piece of data here. Due to the large volume of the dataset (exceeding 500 GB), individual files are hosted on a remote server. The complete dataset can be accessed at the following base directory: Base URL: https://s3.jn1.is.shanhe.com/umdr2026 A README.txt file is available on the server, which contains a comprehensive list of direct download links for every individual file. Directory Structure and Naming Convention The dataset is systematically organized into subdirectories by year and month. Each daily file follows a standard path structure: [Base_URL]/[YYYY]/[MM]/[YYYY]_[MM]_[DD].nc Examples: https://s3.jn1.is.shanhe.com/umdr2026/1993/01/1993_01_01.nc https://s3.jn1.is.shanhe.com/umdr2026/1993/01/1993_01_02.nc https://s3.jn1.is.shanhe.com/umdr2026/1993/01/1993_01_03.nc
