
This paper explores the cyclical transformations of energy within the universe through a series of thought experiments informed by logic, imagination, and existing knowledge. While the laws of thermodynamics establish that energy cannot be created or destroyed, questions remain regarding the precise forms into which it transforms and the potential connections to phenomena such as dark energy. Drawing on analogies with organic life cycles, this work proposes that both inorganic matter and energy itself may participate in comparable cyclical processes. Particular attention is given to the phenomenon of lightning as a case study, serving as a point of reflection on the omnipresence of energy and its potential pathways of transformation. The analysis seeks to contribute a conceptual framework for understanding the universality of energy cycles.
