Innovative Hemp Practices

Abstract

In late 2025 and early 2026, the EU-funded BBioNets project organised a series of six Cross-Fertilisation Meetings focused on bio-based practices on farms and in forests. Further information about the meetings is available at: https://bbionets.eu/cross-fertilisation-meetings-round-2/. This report presents the key takeaways of the second meeting, titled “Innovative Hemp Practices,” which explored the versatile role of industrial hemp as a cornerstone of the modern bioeconomy, with participants delving into technical and environmental benefits such as soil protection and carbon sequestration. All materials related to the meeting, including presentations and the video recording, are available at: https://bbionets.eu/cfm-2-innovative-hemp-practices/
