African Traditional Medicine-Inspired BRAF Inhibition for BRAF-Mutant EMPD

Abstract

Open Targets identifies BRAF with 0.28 association in EMPD. African medicinal plants like Cryptolepis sanguinolenta contain cryptolepine which shows anti-cancer properties. Modern BRAF inhibitors could be combined with traditional compounds that enhance their efficacy through complementary mechanisms, addressing both MAPK signaling and cellular stress pathways.
