Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) modulates neuronal excitability and can enhance cognitive function through neuroplasticity mechanisms. Multifocal stimulation targets multiple brain regions simultaneously, potentially compensating for distributed network dysfunction in early dementia stages.
