Coenzyme Q10-Idebenone Combination for Mitochondrial Electron Transport Enhancement

Abstract

CoQ10 supports mitochondrial electron transport chain function while idebenone (synthetic CoQ10 analogue) provides additional antioxidant protection and can bypass Complex I defects. This combination specifically addresses the mitochondrial dysfunction secondary to methylmalonic acid accumulation and supports residual metabolic capacity in B12-responsive patients.
