INTERNATIONAL SURVEY: STATUS AND HAPPINESS

Abstract

The International Survey: Status and Happiness is a questionnaire designed to better understand how people perceive their social status, their future career plans, and the personal characteristics that define effective leadership. It is commonly applied to students or young adults from different countries to explore how these factors vary across cultures. This survey focuses on how individuals see themselves within their social or academic environment, including their sense of recognition, influence, and opportunities for growth. It also explores participants’ career expectations, goals, and confidence in their future employability. In addition, the survey gathers information about leadership traits, such as responsibility, initiative, communication skills, and the ability to work with others. Participants reflect on their own qualities and behaviors, helping to identify what characteristics are associated with being a strong and effective leader. The survey is based on ideas from Social Exchange Theory, which suggests that people’s behavior and attitudes are influenced by their interactions, relationships, and perceived position within a group. Overall, the purpose of this survey is to gain a better understanding of how status, career aspirations, and leadership qualities are connected, and how they influence personal development and behavior in different social and cultural contexts.
