Abstract

The REVEAL project demonstrates that aluminium-based energy carriers can decouple renewable energy production from consumption across time and location. With high energy density, safe handling, and compatibility with existing infrastructure, the technology shows promise but requires further development beyond its current TRL 4 stage.
