Curvature-Induced σ-Enhancement at the Fermi Level in Carbon Schwarzites: A Local-Normal Analysis

Abstract

Local-normal PDOS decomposition reveals a systematic 4% σ-enhancement beyond the isotropic baseline in D-type carbon schwarzite C136, correcting a previous coordinate-artifact interpretation. First quantitative measurement of how negative Gaussian curvature modifies π/σ orbital balance in carbon.
