Exogenous Geological Process Activations in the Russian Federation (2007–2025)

Abstract

This geospatial dataset provides systematically compiled and structured information on the occurrence of hazardous exogenous geological processes (EGPs) in the Russian Federation in 2007-2025. It is based on quarterly public survey reports, issued by the Gidrospetsgeologiya, a branch of the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources (Rosnedra). The dataset comprises 13 085 records from 70 quarterly reports covering the period from Q1 2007 to Q4 2025. The data include the EGP type, text location and coordinates, time of manifestation, factors of activation, and a description of occurrence. 7 367 records (≈56%, all data after 2019) contain precise geographic coordinates from the source (WGS 84). For 4 687 earlear records, the coordinates are restored through geocoding of a text address with varying precision. About one thouthend records are not geocoded.
