Abstract

Modern basketball has undergone significant tactical evolution due to advancements in analytics, player versatility, and game tempo. This study explores contemporary offensive and defensive strategies, emphasizing their structural principles, effectiveness, and adaptation in elite competitions such as the NBA. The research highlights the integration of spacing, ball movement, switching defenses, and data-driven decision-making as key determinants of team success. The findings suggest that strategic flexibility and the use of advanced metrics have fundamentally reshaped how basketball is played and analyzed.
