DETERMINANTS OF SAVING BEHAVIOUR AMONG YOUTH AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

ABSTRACT:- Savings play an important role in ensuring personal financial security and supporting a country’s economic development. This study examines the determinants of saving behavior among youth by analyzing economic, social, and psychological factors that influence their saving habits. The findings show that many respondents have little or no income, yet a majority still attempt to save, mainly through savings accounts and usually less than 10% of their income. Income level, family encouragement, financial knowledge, and the use of digital apps are found to significantly influence saving behavior. The study highlights the need to improve financial literacy and promote responsible spending to strengthen saving habits among youth.
