El Recaudador en el Centro: Karma, Gracia y el Punto de Cruce

Abstract

Este ensayo examina el contraste entre los modelos kármicos de reciprocidad moral y la doctrina cristiana de la gracia mediante el marco del “punto de cruce”, entendido como el momento presente donde se sitúan la agencia, el arrepentimiento y la transformación. Se argumenta que los sistemas regidos exclusivamente por retorno, proporción y consecuencia no pueden explicar plenamente el perdón, la misericordia ni la posibilidad de un comienzo verdaderamente nuevo. Inspirándose en parte en la comprensión de Agustin de Hipona sobre la voluntad herida y la necesidad de la gracia, el ensayo interpreta las figuras de David, Pablo, la mujer sorprendida en adulterio y María Magdalena como estudios de caso de una realidad donde la consecuencia es real, pero no agota lo posible. La tesis central sostiene que un mecanismo puede devolver lo enviado, pero solo una fuente personal puede ofrecer lo no merecido.
