Abstract

Crop-specific PHASE dataset for Winter Wheat (Triticum aestivum, JKI/DWD crop code 202). Contents: DOY COGs (7 files): Interpolated Day-of-Year per phenological phase. Multi-band Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF; 32 bands (1993–2024); Int16; 1 km; EPSG:25832. BSE COGs (7 files): BAM posterior standard error (uncertainty). Same multi-band structure; Float32 rounded to 2 decimal places. VAM CSVs (7 files): Independent test-set accuracy metrics (RMSE, MAE, R², TN, ON, BAM_K) per phase; 32 rows (1993–2024). PHASE_202_metadata.json: JSON-LD provenance document linking all files to the filtered phenological observation shapefiles and to the PhenoPhaseR software. File naming: DOY_202-{PHASE}.tif, BSE_202-{PHASE}.tif, VAM_202-{PHASE}.csv. Phases covered: 10, 12, 15, 18, 19, 21, 24. Derived from filtered and optimized phenological observation shapefiles (doi:10.5281/zenodo.19483112) using PhenoPhaseR v1.1.3. **What's new in v1.1.0:** The metadata file now includes structured Data Fitness-for-Purpose (DFFP) assessments documenting the dataset's suitability for four scientific applications (yield loss analysis, erosion nowcasting, crop model calibration, crop type mapping), generated using the DFFP Application Matrix tool (https://github.com/MahdiHedayatMahmoudi/dffp-application-matrix). A README file has been added.
