This demonstration introduces StoryScript, a tool for digital storytelling, at DH Benelux 2026 in Maastricht. Initially created for entertainment purposes, StoryScript can also be used in research and education, especially in the digital heritage field. Our session will showcase the functionalities of StoryScript from embedding interactive maps / images and audio narrations to creating conversations, quests and (randomised) combat scenarios. In addition to story / game templates based on fiction, we have also created a historical demonstration based on the so-called imperial circles of the early modern Holy Roman Empire. We invite DH Benelux participants to discuss possible use cases and technical improvements with us. We also welcome ideas for collaboration.
