With 129,374 hectares, Croatia had 8.6% of its farmland under organic management, which was below the European Union average of 10.6% but above that of the EU-13 countries (6.3% in 2022). Like in many countries that became a member of the European Union in or after 2004, growth was exceptional, amounting to an increase of more than 1000 times in the 2001 to 2022 period, thus showing the highest area growth in the European Union. Retail sales data is not available for Croatia. This factsheet provides an overview of the organic agriculture sector, including farmland area, market trends, and key figures on organic production. It also outlines CAP policy support, detailing financial allocations, eco-schemes, and strategic goals for organic farming. Additionally, it highlights national action plans and support measures for organic aquaculture and market development. Link: https://orgprints.org/id/eprint/55220/
