Crescine's Special session at European Media Management Association (emma) conference: "CresCine: Increasing the international competitiveness of film industries in small European markets"

Abstract

The special session took the form of an interactive forum with five participants from CresCine, which is a research and innovation action funded by HorizonEurope and that aims at increasing the international competitiveness of the film industry in small European markets The special session is organised and led by researchers from Estonia, Belgium, and Portugal who represent the almost 30-member strong consortium of both universities as well as industry players from across Europe. Aim of the session is not only to introduce some of the work of the CresCine project, but a special focus will lie on: How can the public tools and research results developed by CresCine benefit other media managment researchers; and what can research learn from the CresCine intiative in terms of how a research-industry collaboration can benefit both scholarship and industry practice.
