This article analyzes modern trends in the development of extreme tourism, its economic and social significance, as well as safety issues. It highlights the diversity of extreme tourism types, their impact on human health and life, and ways to reduce risk factors. The study presents real-life examples and examines international experiences in ensuring safety in the tourism sector. The article concludes with scientifically based recommendations for the development of extreme tourism and the improvement of safety measures.
