Abstract

GenusParactenosciaTaiti & Rossano, 2015Type species.Paractenoscia cavernicola (Taiti and Rossano 2015, p. 2082–2086; figs 9–11), by monotipy and original designation.Diagnosis.Cephalon with suprantennal line, lacking frontal line; first antenna with fusiform aesthetascs; no visible gland pores on tergites; one line of small noduli laterales per side; pleon distinctly narrower than pereon with epimera adpressed; pleotelson semi-circular; mandibles with completely dichotomized molar penicils and with scales; maxillule with pectinate teeth; maxilliped endite without penicil; pleopods without lungs; and uropods with endopod and exopod inserted almost at the same level (see also Taiti and Rossano 2015, p. 2081–2082).
