Mining Vitae : studying hagiographical topoi on a global scale with computational methods - Lightning talk - Abstract

Abstract

This lightning talk presents a project within the HagioQuant framework, focusing on the Acta Sanctorum, a vast hagiographical corpus compiled between 1643 and 1925. A structured digital corpus was created and extensively preprocessed and annotated to enable computational analysis. The study applies topic modelling to identify recurring narrative patterns (topoi) and uncover connections across the corpus. Preliminary results and the workflow are presented.
