1-year simulation of the Red Sea in MIKE 21 SW

Abstract

1-year wave hindcast of the Red Sea from January 1, 2023 at 12:00 AM to January 1, 2024 at 12:00 AM, produced in MIKE 21 SW. Dataset contains the mesh used for the domain, point parameters evaluated at Suez, El Toor, Hurghada, Safaga, and Shalateen, validated against the ERA5 hourly reanalysis with good agreement. Developed as part of the master's thesis: Wave Resource Assessment and Feasibility Study for Wave-Powered Desalination in Egypt.
