Experimental Operational Data from a Pressurized Alkaline Electrolyser Short Stack (PEACE Project)

Abstract

This dataset contains experimental operational data from a short stack alkalineelectrolyser as part of the PEACE (Pressurized Efficient Alkaline EleCtrolysEr)project. The experiments were conducted to assess the performance of a 3-cellshort stack, with the goal of informing design decisions for the final fullstack configuration. The experiments were performed at operating pressures of 2, 4, and 6 bar usinga 30% KOH electrolyte solution. Due to the limited number of cells (3 cells),the desired operating temperature of 80°C could not be reached with the shortstack at the BTU Cottbus test rig. The dataset is intended to capture shortstack performance characteristics to guide necessary adjustments beforescaling to the full stack design. Each experiment is provided in both raw format (all original sensor channels,semicolon-delimited, comma decimal) and cleaned format (key measurement columnsonly, comma-delimited, dot decimal). A column description file is includeddescribing the mapping between original sensor IDs and human-readable columnnames.EXPERIMENTS--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Experiment 1: 2026-01-20, 14:27:45 – 16:29:35 | 6,695 rows | 2 barExperiment 2: 2026-02-03, 15:54:00 – 18:34:02 | 8,794 rows | 4 barExperiment 3: 2026-02-04, 11:00:00 – 14:59:59 | 13,187 rows | 6 bar
