Plastic waste poses a severe environmental threat due to its large-scale production and persistence in ecosystems. While conventional recycling methods have limitations, emerging technologies such as chemical recycling, enzymatic degradation, catalytic depolymerization, and artificial intelligence-based sorting systems offer promising solutions. This paper presents a systematic review of recent advancements in plastic recycling technologies, supported by comparative analysis, recent statistical data, and case studies. The study evaluates different recycling methods based on efficiency, cost, scalability, and environmental impact, providing insights into sustainable waste management and circular economic implementation.
