FVON Sensor Intercomparison R Script

Authors: Martinelli, Michela;

FVON Sensor Intercomparison R Script

Abstract

The R script contained in this repository was developed to help process and analyse data collected within FVON Instrument Intercomparison Experiments Phase 1 (see Martinelli et al. 2026). The script processes and compares oceanographic sensor data from multiple instruments (e.g. CTD, Moana, Wisens, Starmon, Tegaru). It identifies stable depth intervals based on CTD data, then compares other sensors' readings for depth, temperature, salinity, and pressure against the CTD reference. In addition to the code, this repository provides comprehensive documentation to guide users through running the script and interpreting the output.
