The framework is designed to identify where correction pathways fail in conflict and political-transition environments, rather than producing a single instability score. It distinguishes between structurally different failure modes including sponsor contradiction, sponsor withdrawal, principal loss, public mandate contradiction, competitive sponsor deadlock, and functioning institutions operating under irreconcilable inputs. Version 1.0 is frozen as of March 31, 2026 in order to preserve the Iran–US–Israel case as a live-case snapshot at the time of analysis.
