Abstract

This chapter analyzes the significance and effectiveness of modern pedagogical methods in teaching the topic of cartilaginous fish (Chondrichthyes). It examines the limitations of traditional approaches and explores the role of innovative methods such as STEAM integration, Project-Based Learning (PBL), interactive techniques, and information technologies in biology education. Based on research findings, the positive impact of modern methods on students' knowledge acquisition, engagement, and 21st-century skill development is demonstrated. A critical analysis of the relationship between active learning strategies and academic performance is also presented. The chapter concludes with practical recommendations for improving the education of cartilaginous fish.
