The HuT educational material: Safe Haven Landslide risk

Abstract

Presentation for an educational module on landslide risk for high school students, centered around the use of the board game "Safe haven - Landslides." The game is played with the students with the broader aim to discuss, with them, concepts associated with how to manage landslide risk and, more generally, on how to take informed decisions under conditions of uncertainty. The presentation has two parts: the first part must be delivered before game playing to reduce cognitive overload during the game session, the second part must be delivered after game playing to amplify post-game reflections. The template's design philosophy emphasizes brevity, visual storytelling, and logical progression.
