Abstract

La prima missione diplomatica cinese in Europa vede tra i suoi delegati due personaggi molto diversi tra loro: l’anziano mandarino e supervisore Binchun 斌椿 e il giovane interprete Zhang Deyi 張德彝, appena diplomatosi in lingue straniere. Renata Vinci (Università degli Studi di Palermo), ci leggere alcuni estratti dei loro diari di viaggio, così diversi eppure entrambi estremamente affascinanti.La lettura degli estratti di questo episodio è affidata alla voce di Francesco Troccoli. “Viaggio verso Occidente: quando la Cina ha scoperto il Mediteranneo” è un podcast del progetto di ricerca MeTChE, “The Mediterranean through Chinese Eyes”, finanziato dall’Unione Europea – Next Generation EU, Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca, Piano Nazionale di ripresa e resilienza Italia Domani.
