Abstract

En Irlande, les moutons s’intègrent très bien aux systèmes agroforestiers en raisondu climat doux et des paysages variés. Leur comportement de pâturage réguleefficacement l’herbe dense et le sous‑étage, réduisant la concurrence pour lesressources avec les arbres et les cultures. Les moutons prospèrent particulièrementdans les systèmes de sylvopâturage, où des espèces comme Alnus glutinosa(aulne) et Salix spp. (saules) fournissent ombrage, abri et protection contre lespluies fréquentes.
